Women's voices being heard in the presence of non-Maharim

Qn7: Is it permissible for a female student of knowledge to have her voice heard in a gathering with a Shaykh knowing that this gathering also has male students?

Ans.7: This question is general – it is necessary that this should be expanded. However, there are three situations:
1)      If this place is a school where there is free mixing then it is not permissible for the students, male and female to sit together in one class.
2)      If the male students are in a masjid, for example, and generally the men are in the front part and the women are in the back and they are separated, then this is permissible and she can ask a question even if her voice is heard because Allaah hasn’t rebuked her voice being heard if she asks a question but the condition is that she doesn’t soften her voice that it may affect those who have a disease in their heart.
3)      If the students (male and female) are in one place but there is a partition between them such as that they are in different rooms and she asks a question then this is permissible.
